Free LED screen checklists

Printable checklists for installers, technicians and screen builders. Free to download, print and share, with no sign-up.

Free, for help only. Free to use, print and share. These checklists are shared only to help the LED screen trade: no charge, no sign-up, nothing to buy. They are general guidance, not professional or engineering advice. Always follow the manufacturer's datasheets and instructions, local electrical rules and the advice of a qualified electrician or engineer. MG TechLink accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from their use.
  • 0126 checks

    Pre-installation site survey

Use this before you quote or order parts. Most installation problems start with something nobody checked on site: the wall, the power, the cable route or the viewing distance.

When: Before quoting, ordering parts or fabricating the structure.

  • 0220 checks

    Earthing and electrical safety

Poor earthing and overloaded wiring cause shocks, fires and many 'mystery' faults such as flicker and failing power supplies. Go through this list on every installation, and get the electrical work done or checked by a qualified electrician.

When: During installation, before first power-on, and after any electrical change.

  • 0321 checks

    Outdoor weatherproofing

Water is the biggest enemy of outdoor screens. A single open cable entry or blocked drain hole can damage modules, power supplies and receiving cards. Use this list at installation and again before every monsoon.

When: At installation, and every year before the monsoon.

  • 0423 checks

    First power-on and commissioning

The first power-on is when wiring mistakes cause the most damage. Power up in stages, test before loading content, and record the settings so the screen can be restored later.

When: When a new or rebuilt screen is powered on for the first time.

  • 0519 checks

    Incoming parts inspection

Checking parts when they arrive saves hours of fault-finding later and makes any warranty or transit claim easier. Do this before assembly, with the delivery note and invoice in hand.

When: When any shipment of modules, cabinets, power supplies or control cards arrives.

  • 0612 checks

    Monthly maintenance log

A short monthly check catches small faults before they become expensive ones. Tick the checklist, then write one line in the log each month so you can see patterns over time.

When: Once a month, and after storms, power failures or any repair.
