Community rules

1. Be helpful and accurate

• Answer the question that was asked, and share what you actually know or have tried.
• Back technical claims with a datasheet, a measurement or real experience. Say clearly when something is your opinion.
• Correct mistakes politely, including your own.

2. Stay unbiased and transparent

• Every brand and supplier is welcome to be discussed fairly. Criticise products with facts, not insults.
• If you work for, own or sell for a company connected to the topic, say so. MG TechLink staff follow the same rule.
• No fake reviews, paid praise or posting under multiple accounts.

3. Keep selling in its place

• Help, project and repair discussions are not for advertising.
• Offers, stock and "wanted" posts belong only in the Offers & Wanted section, and must be genuine and honestly described.

4. Respect people and privacy

• No abuse, threats, harassment, hate speech or discrimination.
• Do not post anyone else's phone number, address or other personal details without their permission.
• Only post photos and content you have the right to share. Do not copy other people's photos, datasheets or text and present them as your own.

5. Stay legal and safe

• No unlawful content, counterfeit goods, pirated software or instructions that put people in danger.
• Electrical work can be dangerous. Follow local safety rules; advice in the Circle is shared in good faith and does not replace a qualified electrician.

6. How moderation works

Moderators may edit titles for clarity, move posts to the right section, remove content that breaks these rules, and warn, suspend or remove members who repeatedly break them. Report a post with the report button in the forum, or contact the grievance officer below.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you allow the Circle to display it, and MG TechLink to quote it with credit in its guides. You can ask for your posts or your account to be removed at any time.
